Trash Tv

I am so tacky. I have to admit that I watched the billion hour finale of the bachelorette. First I felt bad for the first guy with his gigantic blinding rock getting rejected after pouring his heart out. I could tell she was going to say no. My boyfriend thought she would say yes when she saw the ring (think he's a little jaded? hhmm). But no. She sent the sad little guy home. I am truly pathetic but it almost made me cry! He looked so sad! Anyone who has gotten their heart broken could feel the guy's pain.

Then she rejects the REALLY cute guy (see..I am not totally committed - I don't even know their names)! That was so awkward. I am so nosy that I just want to know what the heck really happened. I can't believe I got sucked into the finale! Halfway through the show I looked down at Bella and thought "I wonder what kind of shows they will have when you are my age!" Scary!!!!

In case you think I am just sitting around like a couch potato..I'm not I swear. I have been sketching lots of earring ideas. I even made a selfish pair for yours truly. I will post a pic soon. I am getting really motivated to design new stuff. I knew I couldn't stay on my break too long!

Anyone else have a "tacky tv show" addiction?

Oscars Anyone?

I am not super star struck but I do enjoy a good Academy Awards show. I got to watch the beginning and end (the best parts anyway) of last night's show. I realized that I am pretty much out of the movie loop. The only category where I had seen all the movies was animations (The Incredibles, Shark Tale, and Shrek 2). Sad huh? I think it's because most of the movies came out in my last few weeks of pregnancy and by then I couldn't sit in a movie theater for any extended amount of time without a considerable amount of discomfort. I have saved all the movies in my netflix cue so that I can watch them on dvd. I should be caught up just in time for next year's awards....

My favorite part of the night was when Julia Roberts came out to present. Unlike the usual Hollywood moms she actually looked like she was a mom. Don't get me wrong..she looked absolutely gorgeous but I did see a little arm chub. And I loved it!! It made me feel better about my extra few pounds. Hey..even Julia hasn't lost all her baby weight yet! Good for her. She is probably just enjoying her babes instead of hitting the gym for 5 hours a day. Gotta love her.

Who was your favorite star on the red carpet?

Showing off

I wanted to show off another picture of my cutie. You can see her head of hair in this one. Obviously I have fun dressing her up!

A Short Hiatus

After much consideration, I have decided to take a short hiatus from Sharma Designs. I don't have alot of extra time between Ms Bella and my part time job to spend creating jewelry. When I have had a chance to design I am constantly listening for the little one or carrying her in her baby bjorn while I work. It just isn't working for me. I feel bad enough at work when I am ignoring her while I work. I don't want to come home and ignore her too. She is already growing way too fast for me. I have no idea if I will have any more children and I don't want to look back and realize that I missed precious moments with her because I was too busy trying to fit everything in.
I figure I will give it a month or so. By then I should have her on some kind of bedtime schedule and I can start creating when she drifts off too sleep. I will be a little more rested by then (fingers crossed) and will be able to stay up a little later.
In the meantime I am having a little sale. 30% off of anything. The voucher code is 10305530. The sale will run until Feb 28.
I will keep you posted of my progress here. Thanks for understanding!

Try This Tasty Treat

I hope you had a good Valentine's Day. I hope none of you got those silly gift baskets that they sell on the side of the road. If you did you may want to treat yourself to a present you will REALLY enjoy.

My mom still gives me a Valentine's day present (yes I am 28). She likes to find any excuse to give people presents. She is a very sweet and generous soul. This year she gave me the gift of Tasty Treat. Oh my gosh! It smells divine. If you haven't tried Hella Good Products you must buy some right now. I am hooked. Birthday Suit is still my favorite but Tasty Treat is second in line.

I had to try it because of the name. I call everything a tasty treat - from delicious desserts to the very cute sweater that i must have. Before I found out that I was having a girl I told everyone I was naming my child Tasty Treat. So for the first few months the little one was referred to as tasty...

And on that note.. you must get some Hella Good products. Tell them I sent you!!

Back in the Real World

Today is my third day back at my "real job" where I work part time. The little one comes with me. She has been really good and sleeps while I work.
I spent a few hours the other day designing some new necklaces. I hope to get them up to the website in the next couple weeks. I also have a few scarves to sell. I am so embarassed that my website is so empty. I can't wait to see some new Spring necklaces up there.
I wanted to have a few "alternative to Valentines Day" necklaces for sale before the day actually got here but it doesn't look like that will happen. Each year I make "single girl" necklaces for my single friends. This year the pendants are these fabulous broken heart shells. I will post a picture as soon as I get a chance. Maybe next year I will have some for the sight. After all, not everyone looooves Valentine's Day right?
